TOST is a completely ad-free magazine, 100% donor funded, private not for profit initiative dedicated to sharing the authentic stories of art, culture and the human experience.

Your support fuels a shared vision, enabling our contributors to collaborate and create the meaningful, inspiring content you love.

We have faith that you will love the content so much that you will generously keep this mission going.

Printed in small batches, we are excited to curate our back page with partners who believe in a more intentional and connected style of media.

Benefactors who give $35 or more will receive an exclusive print copy.

TOST is a private not for profit initiative. This Fund is a shared pool for contributors.

  • TOST operates with two distinct internal funds: a General Fund and an Operational Fund.

    • The General Fund is evenly distributed among all contributors involved in that issue of the magazine. This happens quarterly, and each contributor has access to a private portal where they can view monthly statements.

    • The Operational Fund is used exclusively for print production. We keep operational expenses low to ensure every dollar supports beauty, creativity, and integrity in publishing.

  • Our standard fulfillment time is 2 weeks from the date of your order.

Need it sooner? We offer a rush option for $25, which ships express in 4–5 business days.

  • No. TOST is a not-for-profit initiative, but we are not a government-registered nonprofit. We remain entirely private, independent, and free from institutional influence. This allows us to protect our mission and operate with soul, not red tape.

  • Yes. Your contribution gives you access to our private digital content portal.

After you donate, we’ll reach out to help you set up your secure login. This space is reserved for supporters and contributors—where you’ll find select pieces, behind-the-scenes stories, and curated features from the TOST archive.

our benefactors

These are the beautiful humans who believe in the work of our contributors. They value what is true, beautiful, and praiseworthy—and through their generosity, this publication is made possible.

Their support is not just financial—it is a quiet affirmation that beauty matters, that thoughtful media is worth preserving, and that art, story, and soul still belong in the world.

  • Our highest gratitude belongs to those who underwrite this vision. These founding benefactors make TOST not just possible—but powerful.

YOU MADE THIS POSSIBLE.

THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL PUBLICATION. IT’S NOT AD-FILLED NOISE. IT’S A RARE, SLOW, AND STUNNING MAGAZINE—MADE WITH MEANING.

TOST WAS CREATED TO SLOW THINGS DOWN, TO MAKE ROOM FOR WHAT MATTERS. IF IT SPEAKS TO YOU, HELP US SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD—ONE BEAUTIFUL COPY AT A TIME.

WE PRINT IN SMALL BATCHES, AND BENEFACTORS RECEIVE A COPY AS A GIFT FOR CONTRIBUTIONS OF $35 OR MORE. THE FIRST EDITION IS AVAILABLE IN PRINT ONLY—BECAUSE IT’S BEST WHEN HELD IN HAND—BEFORE MAKING ITS WAY ONLINE OVER TIME.

  • TOST Magazine operates as a private initiative—a concept as old as publishing itself. This means we are not-for-profit by design, yet we are not classified as a government-registered nonprofit. Instead, we exist independently, supported by those who believe in our mission.

Throughout history, individuals and groups have created and shared ideas without requiring formal recognition or oversight. TOST follows in that tradition, relying on partnerships, contributions, and a shared vision rather than institutional structures.

This allows us to remain intentionally small, purpose-driven, and free from the constraints of traditional advertising or external influence. Our goal is to cultivate a meaningful reading experience—one that values depth, beauty, and independent thought.

  • TOST Magazine is a private initiative, meaning we operate independently and without traditional advertising or government oversight. Every contribution goes directly toward sustaining the magazine and supporting the creators who bring it to life.

Donations are divided into two funds:

    • Operational Fund – Covers essential costs like printing, distribution, and maintaining the magazine.

    • General Fund – This is shared among the writers, artists, photographers, and designers who contribute to TOST, ensuring that creative work is valued and supported.

Our contributors are compensated through a shared pool system, meaning that funds in the General Fund are distributed equally among those who make the magazine happen.

This model keeps TOST independent, ad-free, and community-driven, allowing us to focus on meaningful storytelling rather than commercial interests.

  • If you believe in TOST Magazine’s mission and want to be part of it, there are several ways to support and contribute:

    Ways to Get Involved

    • Share on Social Media – Help spread the word by sharing our content, articles, and mission with your audience. Your reach makes a difference.

    • Become a Waiting Room Benefactor – Invest in copies of TOST to be placed in waiting rooms, salons, cafés, and community spaces, ensuring more people have access to meaningful content.

    • Support as an Influencer – If you have an audience that values art, intentional living, storytelling, or unique media, we’d love your help in bringing TOST to more people.

    • Submit Your Work – We are open to writers, photographers, and artists who align with our vision. If you’d like to contribute, check out our submission guidelines.

    • Do You Have a Specific Skill? – We welcome individuals with talents that can help grow TOST. Some areas where we could use expertise:

    • Graphic design

    • Web development

    • Marketing & PR

    • Fundraising & donor relations

    • Event planning

    • Research & historical writing

    • Printing & distribution connections

If you’d like to join us in any of these ways, or if you have a unique skill that might contribute to our mission, we’d love to hear from you.
